Devi Durga by Pranab Bandyopadhya

On the advice of Medhas Muni, Suratha worshiped Sridurga for kingdom desire and Samadhi worshiped for self-liberation. As a result of worshiping the goddess, Suratha got the kingdom and Samadhi got his desired liberation. Since then, goddess worship has been practiced in spring.

Again, it is mentioned in the scriptures that Sri Ramachandra worshiped Durgtinashini Durga form of Goddess Parvati in autumn to kill Ravana. That is why this Durga is also called ‘Akal Bodhan’.
In Hinduism, Goddess Durga is worshiped as Parameshwari. She appeared on earth to destroy the wicked and protect religion.
In this book, the story of Goddess Durga is written in simple language for young and children readers.
